Parent Conferences, Open House, Book Fair, Master Gardeners

We just finished up our parent conferences on Friday for report cards. It went well and we will be doing it again for the 4th six weeks in January. I hope the everything went smooth for the parents as well. Please give us your feedback of what you think can be changed/done differently.

This week is the Scholastic Book Fair at school. We will be doing a "preview" day on Monday where the students can visits to see what they might be interested in buying. Then on Thursday we will go back to purchase. Only those who bring money to purchase will be able to go back on Thursday. This will be the only time DURING the day they may go.

Tuesday night is open house at GE. We will be having a Reading Fair for the first time at our school. Our class is working on a story board for the book "David's New Friends". You may have seen it in the classroom on Friday. They all have a part in completing it! Hopefully we will win...come to Open House Tuesday from 5-7 to find out!

We are also starting a cooperative learning program with the Gonzales Master Gardeners. We are very excited to get the opportunity to work with them and learn about plants as part of our Science curriculum.
